Healing Place Cafe: What is Faith Healing from your perspective?

Jose Luis Romero: Faith Healing is having the confidence (Faith) that our Creator provided us with the natural ability and the tools to direct healing energy to help ourselves and to help others and also to realize that we can ask for help and guidance after we have tried all that we can do ourselves.

HPC: How did you become interested in Faith Healing?

JLR: As a youngster I used to see my grandmother perform Holistic Faith Healing on many children and I saw many "miracles". When I started assisting Mr. Silva, who developed the Holistic Faith Healing courses that I now teach, I would apply the techniques to people who needed help and I had many successes. Every opportunity I had I would apply the techniques and I developed much confidence seeing that they work. This is when I realized that everyone can develop this natural ability. Like Mr. Silva, my interest changed to teaching others because the more Faith Healers available the more people that can receive help. Mr. Silva's dream was to have a Healer in every home.

HCP: How did you become a Faith Healer?

JLR: I became a Faith Healer by applying the techniques that are taught in the Faith Healer Certification Program that Mr. Silva developed and seeing how many people were helped by the techniques. One of the most rewarding things as a Faith Healer is when people come to you and say "thank you" for helping them; this is very encouraging to continue.

HPC: How can you help people and make a living through healing?

JLR: Mr. Silva found out that the best way to proceed was to help people to learn to help themselves by teaching them the Faith Healing Techniques. Good health is so important for people to achieve success, happiness, and fulfillment. We found that the best way accomplish this was by having a course that people can attend for an admission fee; this in turn provides the capital needed to make a living and to continue to have more classes.

HPC: What is your philosophy of healing?

JLR: My philosophy of healing is that the body heals itself. Faith healers and medical treatment can stimulate the immune system or can create a healing environment to promote healing. All that we need to do is learn how to keep our immune system healthy and ready to act when the need arises. Our mental attitude is very important to our health.

HPC: Can you introduce us to your Faith Healing program?

JLR: Of course. There is much information in our website, www.ESPsy.org. We plan to add much more as we go along. We also have a homestudy program that has much information in six audio cassette tapes and two video tapes that contain two of our best Holistic Faith Healing Techniques. The best way to learn this Faith Healing program is in our live presentations because you have an instructor to guide you and to answer your questions. Most important, in the live presentation you get to practice and actually apply the techniques and see the results immediately. This will give you confidence that Faith Healing works. A very good book that provides much information is Jose Silva's You the Healer.

HPC: Why is it important to you and how do you believe it will help others?

JLR: There are so many people suffering from illnesses that can be helped by using Faith Healing. It is not necessary to suffer when there is something that can be done. We find that with Faith Healing you are working from within, from the inside out (from the Spiritual dimension), to compliment medical treatment which is working from the outside in. Faith Healing can help in many ways. Many people say that it helps to reduce pain and, therefore, reduces the need for taking too many drugs.

HPC: Give us some background regarding your results with the program around the world?

JLR: This particular Faith Healing program has only been introduced in the United States. Since 1996 about 2,000 Faith Healers have been trained. We have trained many natural Faith Healers and also many medical professionals including doctors and nurses. Many who attend the training report improvements by the end of the class and others report successes once they start applying the techniques to their families and friends.

HPC: What advice would you give people looking to follow the path of faith healer?

JLR: The most important thing a Faith Healer needs is to have confidence in himself and the techniques that he uses. The only way to develop confidence is to perform healings anytime the opportunity arises. The more practice and positive feedback the healer gets the more confidence he develops.

HPC: How did you come to be associated with Jose Silva?

JLR: I became associated with Jose Silva 30 years ago when I applied for an administrative position with the Silva organization. At that time I didn't realize that I would be here 30 years later. However in the beginning I was impressed by the quantity of mail that Mr. Silva received thanking him for "changing my life for the better." Many of the successes were in the health area. During the last 10 years I worked very closely with Mr. Silva on many projects including the development of the Faith Healing Certification Program.

HPC: How did you begin your journey of mind and energy exploration?

JLR: As soon as I took the Silva Method Training I new that we have tremendous abilities with our minds. From there I continued to learn and explore and try new and different things using mental energies. Later I learned how to direct healing energy with the Faith Healing techniques.

HPC: Who or what was your inspiration?

JLR: There were many things that inspired me; however, Mr. Silva and my grandmother played a vital roll. They had many of the same qualities such as an unselfish desire to help as many people as possible and to share what they could to help humanity.

HPC: How has your journey changed you?

JLR: My journey has changed in that I have become more Spiritual since Mr. Silva told me, "Pepe, its now up to you to continue with the Faith Healing Program. Take this course and take it to the people." I now feel that my mission is to continue to teach people, to train trainers, and to train trainers of trainers so that we can continue Jose Silva's dream to have A HEALER IN EVERY HOME.

HPC: What have been your greatest lessons?

JLR: My greatest lesson has been that "ignorance does not exempt us from suffering." Simply because we are not aware of something that can help us or we do not believe in something, does not mean that we will not suffer the consequences. If you don't know the speed limit of the road you are driving on and if you speed, you will get a speeding ticket if you are caught. I find that many people all over suffer with health problems because they are not aware that they can learn to help themselves.

HPC: What is your passion in life?

JLR: My passion in life is to follow the footsteps of Jose Silva. I want to contribute to teach others to learn to help themselves and their loved ones by developing their natural abilities.

HPC: What changes do you foresee in the future?

JLR: I foresee that humanity will become more dependent on their innerselves and realize that everything that we need is there within us. Everything that we need is within our reach if we learn how to ask. There are many like Deepak Chopra and Wayne Dyer who are spreading the message that Mr. Silva started decades ago. This will help to spread the word faster.

HPC: How are you/your programs affecting these changes in the lives of people around the world?

JLR: The training that we provide teaches you how to develop your subjective, Spiritual senses which helps you to learn more about the abilities of your inner self. The training helps you realize that there is so much more in the subjective/Spiritual dimension that can help you be a more complete human being. These are natural abilities that 90% of humanity does not develop to their fullest.

To become more Spiritual you need to become centered as far as thinking is concerned. You need to do more of your thinking using the ALPHA region of your brain and also learn to access and use theta and delta regions. Being centered or thinking from alpha you have access to more information to help you make more right decisions. From center you can access information with your physical senses as well as with your subjective, intuitive senses. When you start making more intuitive decisions you are bound to be right more times; and therefore, you become a happier, healthier, luckier person. Better decision making helps you improve all areas of your life including relationships, business, and health.
